Living Inside Networks of Knowledge (ArcNews Fall ‘07)

Just stumbled upon this magazine article by Nick Chrisman on my desk. Networks of Knowledge - talks about the internet and the future of global access to geographic information. The quote that I will remember goes right inline with what I’ve been posting about recently: “How do we decide what is trustworthy information ? Do we do our own tests, or do we trust another person or institution ? [ ... ] It clearly saves a lot of effort once we can fully trust the work of others, but that trust should not be handed out without careful consideration.”
