Radical Change

We’ve heard a lot about change in this country lately. Most of this of course is mere hype. But there is, no doubt, need for change, in many cases radical change. I’m not so much thinking of the economy as of the environment. I’m still waiting to hear from Team Obama how they will utilize the experience, success, and popularity of Al Gore to make this the first successful green administration in US history. Come on, Barack. It’s a no brainer.

As an example of what radical change will mean, take the recent decision by the European Union ban incandescent light bulbs by 2012. Whether that is smart or not, it is the kind of radical change in our every day lives that we will face if we want to seriously re-build the world economies to save our planet.
